Mortified

Mega City One has faced some incredible threats, but few more dangerous -- and none as iconic -- as the Dark Judges.

Someone called?

The Dark Judges are malevolent spirit-judges from an alternative dimension that occasionally cross over into MC1.

They came to the conclusion that crime is only committed by the living, so decided that all life is crime and proceeded to kill off their entire world.

These two models (Judge Mortis and his spirit form) are from Mongoose/Warlord (the former Judge Dredd range).

This poor victim of Mortis' is from JohnnyBorg/Mega Miniatures.

He's a little on the small side, but fits in just fine.

Men In Black

This post comes on the tail end of a productive holiday weekend.

These two Wargames Foundry models are good for acting as agents, corporate soldiers or mafia hitmen.

This guy bears a strong resemblance to a certain character from Pulp Fiction...

Royale with Cheese

I wonder how the recoil is going to affect this firing pose...

Urban Cowgirls

Both of these are from Wargames Foundry, and you don't want to mess with either one of them.

News At Eleven

The people of Mega City One get round-the-clock information from best news sources there are.

These are both from Copplestone Castings.

They will make for great backdrop, or characters with a plot around them, or an annoyance that follows someone around and gets in the way all the time.  That sort of thing.
I know that EM-4 has a similar set, also sculpted by Mark Copplestone, that I may pick up.

Weekend Warriors

The SWAT/Citi-Def unit gets bigger.
The first model is from Wargames Foundry.  I like her pose, it conveys cautious action and, with her rifle slung behind her back and smg in hand, she's involved in a close encounter.

This modern soldier was  given to me in a box of other stuff.  I have no clue who makes it.  Gave it matching colors and it fits in with the rest of the team.

Rapid Fire

In the rough and tumbly world of Mega-City One, firepower can bring a gang a lot of respectability.

This Coppelstone model is all blinged out.

But don't let her cheery color choices fool you into thinking she's friendly.

Easy to paint, well cast and characterful, much like the other Copplestone Future Wars line.

Mr. Machinegun is a Warlord/Mongoose model.

I like his dapper style, although the weapon is ridiculous looking and it sat in my lead pile for a couple of years before I could get past it enough to paint.

Morning Commute

What's a city without citizens?

This guy is from Wargames Foundry.  I think he is packed as a PI.  He works perfectly well as a an undercover cop, or mafia hitman, or corporate security enforcer, or as a civilian (my main intention to use him).

Even if they do nothing more than act as set dressing, I think that having civilians is a necessary addition to many settings.

I don't know where this next model comes from.  It was gifted to me in a box filled with modern stuff.

Trick or Treat

Got a couple of cosplayers, here

This first one is a Mongoose/Warlord ganger.  The company's paint job was going for more of a Clockwork Orange vibe.  With that helmet though, I see more Rick Moranis.

So I went with an all black scheme and painted his club to look light-saberesque.

This "sexy nurse" was created by Reaper.

I want for pink haired, anime inspired.

She's pretty tall for 28mm.  Must be the boots.

Little Ones

I've had these kids in my lead supply for over a decade.
I think they were made by a company called Alpha, which made gladiators and WWII miniatures.  These were part of their WWII civilian line.  I never got around to adding them to my WWII collection, but I think that they will be useful for Dredd where civilians are a big part of the background.
They are a little rough, but cute.

Firestarter

Liz Sherman is a pyrokine and a member of the B.P.R.D team.

This is a repainted, rebased figure from the Hero/HorrorClix set.

This guy is the last of my Northstar cultists, and he's my favorite of the bunch.

I think his curled mustache gives him an appropriate villainous look and there's something I've always liked about fezzes.
